\"\"SANTIAGO (Chile), 2 de junio de 2025.-<\/u><\/em><\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0 M\u00f3nica Zalaquett, presidenta ejecutiva de Fedetur, valor\u00f3 que el Presidente Gabriel Boric haya destacado en su Cuenta P\u00fablica la importancia estrat\u00e9gica y el aporte que realiza la industria del turismo al pa\u00eds, especialmente en la generaci\u00f3n de empleos, ya que actualmente el sector genera cerca de 700 mil puestos de trabajo.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Coment\u00f3 M\u00f3nica Zalaquett que es un avance significativo que el Mandatario haya se\u00f1alado que el turismo puede transformarse en \u201cuna viga maestra para el desarrollo del pa\u00eds\u201d.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

El sector representa un reconocimiento, desde el Estado, al potencial de crecimiento que tiene esta actividad y a su capacidad de convertirse en un motor de progreso econ\u00f3mico y social sostenible.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cNo obstante \u2014agreg\u00f3\u2014, es fundamental que este reconocimiento no quede s\u00f3lo en el discurso, sino que se traduzca en un plan de acci\u00f3n concreto que otorgue al turismo un rol central como pol\u00edtica de Estado\u201d.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

La presidenta ejecutiva de Fedetur, tambi\u00e9n valor\u00f3 positivamente que el Presidente Boric haya mencionado el proyecto del Metro al Aeropuerto Internacional de Santiago y la modernizaci\u00f3n de varios aeropuertos del pa\u00eds.
\n\u201cEstas son iniciativas que mejorar\u00e1n la conectividad \u2014dijo\u2014. Sin embargo, para potenciar verdaderamente el desarrollo del turismo, no basta con avanzar en infraestructura: es igualmente necesario contar con servicios p\u00fablicos de calidad en los terminales a\u00e9reos. En este aspecto, persisten deficiencias en la atenci\u00f3n a los turistas que es prioritario resolver\u201d.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cFinalmente \u2014concluy\u00f3 Zalaquett\u2014, consideramos que el crecimiento debe estar en el centro de la gesti\u00f3n del Gobierno durante los nueve meses que le restan, ya que la mejor forma de que el pa\u00eds avance y ofrezca mejores oportunidades a sus habitantes es impulsando la inversi\u00f3n y la expansi\u00f3n de los sectores productivos. Para que esto sea posible, es clave reforzar la seguridad p\u00fablica, combatir el comercio informal y establecer incentivos que contribuyan al dinamismo de la econom\u00eda\u201d.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n
